We have been involved with Alpacas since 2002, since retirement
from the rat race and moving to the country. We decided to breed these
lovely animals as an alternative to conventional livestock. We are a small stud, but we are committed to breeding high quality Alpacas.
The initial purchase of 3 female alpacas of different colours was just to get a feel for the animals. In the meantime our herd, while still modest has grown to 70+ animals with the purchase of a few further males and females and the birth of many cria.
The bloodlines used include Ultimo, Auzengate, Highlander, Warrior, Rory, Nomad and other high quality males. Many of our animals have done very well in the show ring.
Highfields Alpacas is located on 120 very picturesque acres near Merton in the picturesque Strathbogie Ranges (North-Eastern Victoria, approx. 2 hrs north east of Melbourne-Australia),
in a tri-angle formed by the towns of Euroa, Alexandra and Mansfield.
